Explore Jewish Civilization

Explore Jewish Civilization where it allhappens, from the start of Israelite nation tothe start-up nation. Join leading scholars of Bar-Ilan’s Jewish Studies faculty for an intensive two-week course combing classroom reading of primary texts with on-site lectures and explorations at major archeological, cultural and historical sites around Israel. Open to outstanding graduate students and undergraduates from around the world.

What to Expect

Rigorous Academic Curriculum Academic Credit

Daily study sessions, interactive workshops, and guided discussions

On-Site Lectures at major archeological and cultural sites across Israel

Faculty Instructors are from the Departments of Bible, Talmud, Jewish History, Jewish Philosophy, Hebrew Language and Literature, Jewish Art, Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology, and Middle Eastern Studies.

Target Audience

Outstanding BA and MA students in Jewish Studies and related fields.

Application Requirements:

This is a selective, honors-level program. Applications must include a CV and one academic letter of recommendation. All submissions will be reviewed by the academic committee. Participation is limited.

Program Cost and Scholarships:

The cost of the program is $3,000, including academic credit, room and board, site visits, and all program activities.

Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements.

A limited number ofmerit-based scholarships will be awarded to exceptionally qualified students.
